A road game is never pretty, or even easy. With the challenge the Celtics faced. One wrong step and the Celtcs fall. The Celtics win this big game for Rondo. They saved him from a media backlash. Rondo will be coming out insane in- game three. This win can allow the team to move on. The Celtics take home court with the win, and this was the first playoff victory in Atlanta, in the new Big Three era.
Pierce was everything we needed, and he turned the clock back one more time. He was clutch in the 4th, and he started the game hot. Their was a stretch when Pierce looked done. The Hawks built an 11 point lead mid-way through the third. When that happened. I muted my TV, and I truned on Cedric Maxwell, and Sean Grande. After that point the Celtics put on the defensive clamps, and the Truth went to work. Tonight we had major role performances from Daniels, and from Dooling. Bradley was solid with 14 points, and 3 steals, and 3 blocks. Garnett really grinded this game out. HIs offense wasn't there, but his defense was great. You know the Celtics are giving max effort when they out rebound a team. The Celtics won the glass 45-40.
The Celtics travel on life’s journey. Walking the narrow paths, between their heaven and hell. The Celtcs add to their playoff legacy tonight. When the game was in doubt. They came together one more time, and this is why nobody should count the Celtics out for banner 18.

So gutsy. The haters are trying to spin this as proof that we don't need Rondo, of course, though I noticed that the Hawks killed us with threes early on, just as they did on Sunday. I'm sure that was Rondo's fault too.
Thankfully, this time they aren't getting much traction. I think it helps that Garnett spoke so strongly about Rondo's leadership.
But Rajon, they covered your ass. You got to come back with your complete game, with the full Rondo, on both ends.

we need rondo there was no movement pierce had to bail us out numerous times and pierce knew he had to be like young pierce for a game he did it and i give him a standing ovation and he saved rondo and he should buy him anything he wants, now time to focus on game 3 rondo should be well rested i expect him to play like game 1 one without the bump lol.

This is good for Rondo. Dooling you are such a great influence for him. His whole team has expressed they have his back. This is a necessary feat if Rondo is to show the world he truly is the Celtics next leader after the big 3 era is over. Rondo will be more inspired and motivated than ever.

They are starting to feel like a championship team to me. What they did tonight was magical! You know, this season has had some low, low moments, but man, has it ever had some high moments.
I want to hear the whole crowd at the Garden chanting on Friday night WHERE'S RONDO, WHERE'S RONDO, WHERE'S RONDO!!!!!!!!
He'll be right there, waiting to lead Voltron...

It's sad that Ray can't take part in all of this.
