Green and Bass stepping up

Green is Backing up His Summer Comments-Celtics.com
“I’m slowly picking up more reps at multiple positions, which allows me to do different things,” Green said after a second day of practice in Istanbul. “It’s coming along. I’m picking my spots and just trying to learn and see where I can be more effective.”
Effective is exactly what the Celtics want and need Green to be. The team plans on using him as a game-changer off of the bench who can play both small forward and power forward. That’s not an easy role to fit into, particularly when you’ve primarily been an undersized power forward for the majority of your career.
However, there is plenty of faith within Boston’s front office that Green will fill that role perfectly. Danny Ainge signed him to a new deal to play this exact role. Ainge and Doc Rivers believe that Green is overly equipped to do so, and they were given even more assurance for that belief during today’s practice.
“Today, he seamlessly went from 3 to 4,” said Rivers. “It was easy for him. It wasn’t a forced issue. He looks great.”
The Celtics have put a lot on Jeff's shoulders. And they should for that matter. Green can play three, and four, and it seems to be going well so far in camp. Green could be one of the many x-factors this season, and for the Celtics to win this season. Green must be a player full of intangibles. I feel strong about Green. I think with a full camp that he's getting this season, and with the voices of Pierce, KG, and Rondo around him. Green will have the makings of a good season.
Bass lets his play do the talking-ESPNBoston
"He's the definition of a true professional," said teammate Courtney Lee. "He comes in, works hard, gets the job done. And off the court you don't hear too much from him. He's just the definition of a professional."
"Brandon just wants to be a basketball player," said head coach Doc Rivers. "He's into it. He doesn't show -- you're never going to see the great emotion. Jeff [Green]'s a little bit like that. But that doesn't mean they don't care. Everyone's not going to be emotional, and you don't really want everybody emotional."
As for Bass, the Celtics need a repeat of last season. Of course it would be great to see Bass rebound the ball more, but Bass has a great work ethic, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him grab an extra rebound or two this season. I love Brandon's locker room approach, and his working persona. Bass will continue as the starting power forward at this point, and I would love to see him build off last seasons chemistry.

Bass has already noted that rebounding was his top priority to improve upon this off season. Brandon is due for another great season. Quiet, determined, and ready to do his job.
I saw that too and was really happy to see it.
