Green, and Terry average 8 point apiece. Green has shown better potential so far. Terry on the other hand has been able to build off of his great preseason. Terry was shooting around 70% from three-point land, and over 60% from the field. Of course Terry couldn't carry those amazing numbers into the season. But he's obviously not shooting well at all this season.
Terry stands at 28% from beyond the arc, and 38% from the field. Terry's only playing 22 minutes, and honestly I think his reduction in minutes has hurt him. Terry averaged 31-33 minutes in his final three seasons in Dallas coming off the bench. So right now Terry is playing around ten minutes less. In case you missed it, here are some parts from Terry's blog entry at ESPNBoston.
"I was happy to contribute in our win with two free throws down the stretch. It's definitely in my DNA to make big shots, especially when the game is on the line, whether that's with free throws or making a play or an assist or a shot to win or tie the game -- that's just who I am. But right now, I'm still trying to get comfortable within the structure of the team. I'm a work in progress. I'm very optimistic. I know we have the making of a championship team. I know we have to continue to grow and there are going to be some speed bumps along the way."
Terry will get there. He's just that good. Honestly Terry should start, maybe. Can Lee help with the defensive intensity when KG hits the bench? Because Lee goes out when KG's still out, and the defensive balance goes down the drain. I feel like Doc has under used Terry so far. I think Terry is being a good teammate, and player by taking ownership of his lack luster performance so far.
Green has improved each game, and the only call out on Green is his rebounding. The Celtics need some rebounds, and Green needs to be the source. Offensively Green is solid, some more points would be nice, and that will come.
