Catch the post game video in the Media section.
Rondo had an amazing game, he had his first triple-double of the season, and he produced the 24th triple-double of his career by posting 16 points, 14 assists and 13 rebounds. Rondo had two attempts at game winning jumpers. The first look was good. The second look not so good. KG could have taken the shot. He had a good luck. But Rondo also had a good look, but he slipped up, and chucked a shot up as the buzzer sounded.
I was happy that Doc ran a play for Rondo in the final play in the 4th, but I felt like KG should have taken the final shot in overtime.Doc was happy with the effort, and he said he'll take it. I'm kind of getting over games like this. I loved the effort, but how long can we be satisfied with effort? We went through moral victory after moral victory last season. But it also was a shortened, and weird season. So I'd take moral victories last season.
This year the Celtics have more talent. And I can't be satisfied with games like this. The Celtics have dropped two of their last three, and two of those losses came in the final seconds. For a team wanting to a win title. Those close games are suppose to be games they pull off. Pierce scored 27 points, and to some he may have had a good game. For me I'd take much less. Pierce was 9-of-24, and he continues to add to his career low in field goal percentage.
Doc said this before the game.
"I like it, I’ve always liked it, [but] I think most coaches don’t like it," said Rivers. "I just have always thought it was very competitive, from a playing standpoint. You play the same team back-to-back, the game becomes very competitive, almost chippy. I enjoy that. So I like it. The downside to it is that it’s very, very hard to win both games. And I think that’s why most coaches don’t like it, but when it’s two good teams, it’s even more dangerous because you could lose both. It’s just hard, a hard way to do it. I like it, but I can see why most don’t."
The Celtics will lose Saturday night. I don't make predictions like that, or predictions that often. But I feel like the Celtics will run out of gas. Pierce logged 45 minutes, and Terry 42, but KG oddly on played 34 minutes. I feel like the Celtics will fall apart late. I hope I'm wrong, but I feel like the Celtics will coast tomorrow.

In my relatively green Celtics fan hood it sure seems that the by Browse to Save"76ers really get up to play the C's no matter what. When I've been able to see those games I could feel it and then hearing more and more about the history like Wilt and Bill Russell it really seems that there is a true historic aspect to the games.
