He was very good when he picked up garbage time, and when the Celtics were thin because of injuries. Moore is now getting playing time, and he's making the best of it, and he's actually really good. Moore is averaging 14.5 a game right now, and he's playing better than many other Celtic rookie flops. Whatever happened to Gabe Pruitt, or J.R Giddens?
“He might still be here if it wasn’t for all of the new guys we brought in who play that position,” Rivers said of Moore. “It’s good for him. He works hard and he always did whatever we asked him to do.”
Rivers said that upon hearing of Orlando’s interest in Moore, he immediately called management.
“I said, ‘This guy’s a good player. He belongs in the league and he’s going to be an NBA player for a long time,’ ” he said. “I said, ‘You will never, ever have any problems out of him,’ and that’s been true.”
I hope he does well down there in Orlando. The kid can score.
