Rondo doesn't want to be controlled any longer. He tries to seperate himself, and to free himself of those bonds he hates so much. The media thinks their so right, but their so wrong. So very wrong. Rondo is just like an animal, pent up in a cage, abused by its master(the media), no food, water, or love. You think it's right?
But do they ever realize how he feels? What he goes through Rondo's mind? Rondo's hands won't tremble. And not as nimble as they want. His legs won't shake, With each step he takes. Rondo's vision is clear. I don't beat around the bush. Or hide behind the trees! Rondo doesn't either.
I have found who I am. A long time ago. Rondo has become that player this season. We've seen it before from him. Especially in 2010. But now Rondo is complete. How sweet would it be Rondo carrying the Celtics to a title, and Rondo still doesn't have a picture perfect jumper, but he's improved. Rondo seems to have an optimistic sense. Some may not agree with that. But Rondo is never tiring, and he's found his faith in self-being.
An intelligent brain Rondo has built upon with his basketball I.Q soaring, and he's determined to gain even more knowledge. Rondo has it in his eyes. That it quality , is a breakout moment that will leave us wanting more, and needing more. Rondo's season has built up to this point. His time is now.

Bog Ryan is the latest Celtics media sage to rip Rondo.

This is the only Celtic web site I found where people understand Rondo's greatness..
And this doesn't mean we are blind.. we recognize his errors, but it seems that the media and a lot of fans are always looking for something wrong that he does or says!! When he has 18 assist, he could have had 20 or he could have scored 30 point, and if he has "just" 10 assist, he is not a top 10 point guard.
It's not an easy situation for anybody.
Luckily, Rondo and his team know how important he is!!

Morena, I think we are sometimes more aware of Rondo's mistakes than anyone. We probably see more than anyone when he is lazy on defense, when he walks the ball up instead of pushing it, and we probably get more upset than anyone when he loses his temper. We aren't blind.

You sure you're not a poet??
This is amazing!! Exactly what I'm thinking in the last two days!! I can totally imagine the look in his eyes on friday evening!! I like it when you say that he's like an animal in cage. He is right now and I can't wait to see him free on the field!! I'm so excited!!

that's what I meant!! That we are not blind but we can also recognize his greatness!!

The problem is with Rondo. The media has fallen in love with the big three, and they expect him to be engaged in interviews like the Big three. So they think he's weird, and he's the star they can pick on.

Thanks Morena for the kind words. My writing style has been forming. I decided to add my way to the writing. I like deeper thinking. As for how this site covers Rondo. Paul has been a blessing for this young site that has been around barley a year. Paul really gives the world a good prospective on Rondo. I like to write about Rondo, but Paul takes that subject to another level.

Thanks for the kind words, Shawn. I like to think that this site is pioneering a new way of writing about sports. One of the things I hope to see is more descriptive writing, but at least we have writing that explores the moods and interiority of sports and sports fandom through poetry, and writing that takes into account larger socio-political-cultural dimensions. I hope!

That's true, and I would like to thank both of you for the great things you write!! I really like to dig deeper into sports and athlets and you're giving me the opportunity to do that!! Thank you

You can write pieces too Morena!
Morena says...
Let's just say that I'm probably the worst writer in the world!! lol
It's better that I just "study" right now!!
Maybe one day, reading all your great pieces, I'll be a better writer!!

I think we are all learning as we go, and it starts with comments. I actually think that one of the good things about the internet is that it is a fantastic tool for learning to write, though that may be changing as the censorship sets in.
