Rondo, and his shot. It follows him,and it follows him,and he's called out by the most powerful man in america. Rondo has worked on his shot, and even though it's not great just yet. It's improved, and Rondo has become one of the best point guards in the league without a great jumper. He's mastered many things on the court, and if you think for a second that he won't be able to shot soon. Your kidding yourself that Rondo won't master some kind of shot. So this isn't news about Rondo, but why's it out in the open again?
Shaq's coming out with a book. Here is a part from the book.
In early March some of the guys went to the museum of Fine Arts for a fund-raiser and got to hang with President Barack Obama. Everyone was a little bit in awe. The President turns to Ray [Allen], points at Rondo, and says, "Hey, Ray, why don't you teach this kid how to shoot?" Everyone starts laughing.
[…]
KG told me he saw the look on Rondo's face and the kid was devastated, embarrassed. Dissed by the President, even though I'm sure Obama didn't mean any harm. Rondo smiled and went along with all of it, but KG told me he could see it in his eyes. It bothered Rondo. It killed him.
The next day Rondo shot the ball horribly. He stopped taking shots after that. He's so sensitive. I think it was a real jolt to hear the outside perception of a basketball fan who happens to be the President of the United States. It messed with his mind. I'm sure of it.
You got to feel sorry for Rondo. I know the president wasn't trying to attack Rondo,or hurt his feelings. Rondo's a shy guy. Even though it messed with his mind a little. I believe Rondo will use this going into next season to fire up the wheels on his shooting routine. If Rondo wants to be the best. He needs to shoot, and he needs work on his jumper.

If Obama is the most powerful man in America, why does he bow to banksters and warmongers? I mean, I'm not looking to talk politics here, but if we are going to keep politics out, let's keep them out. If we are going to bring them in, let's bring them in. But let it be one way or the other. When I look at Obama, I don't see a powerful man. I see a figurehead. The fools in the WH and Congress never decide anything. They are told what to do.
That said, I agree with you about Rondo and shooting. If and when he sets his mind to it, he will start to become a shooter. On another note, it was nice to see him showing some good form against the Dominicans, playing for KY, in an exhibition game. He really does have a whole other speed level.

I'm not talking politics. I'm using a corny slogan on what they call the president. I love talking hoops, and politics just gets me mad.

You know people look to the prez as the main person of this country. He's the face of this country. Even if he's not running it by himself. Okay enough of that. Rondo looked good the other night. If he gets a jumper by next season. Kiss D Rose as best point guard goodbye.

Rondo will be the best point guard in the NBA. He's a unique player, and he's got all the tools.
