Groundhog Day is a holiday celebrated on February 2. According to folklore, if it is cloudy when a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day then spring will come early. If it is sunny, the groundhog will supposedly see its shadow and retreat back into its burrow, and the winter weather will continue for six more weeks. I'm not here to talk about th...

You can only ride a winning streak for so long, and you can ride the hot hand until it dries up. As for Pierce last night he was still hot, and the Celtics looked ready to move on past the Cavs, and win their 5th game in a row. Perhaps a mistake by Doc last night? The fact Doc only played Pierce in the final 4 minutes of the 4th, and his subbing in the 4th was off key. If I trul...

As the seconds, and minutes evaporated off the game clock. I was looking over at the scores table to see when Doc would let the starters back into the game. At the time I thought, oh wow, Doc is really letting the bench finish the game. I mean why not the Celtics had a 11 point lead. By the time the Cavs got the lead to one. A feeling of hope was ripped out of my chest...

The Celtics avoided a potential disaster this week. With Rondo, and Allen out this week. The Celtics could have easily lost the last three games. Instead the Celtics beat the Magic twice, and they got some revenge from the early losses to the Pacers by beating them pretty much wire-to-wire Friday night . The toughness, and physical...

If you ask most Celtics fans they will tell you the leader is Paul Pierce. Within the team it's also Paul Pierce. What's the difference by being a leader, compared to being the best player on your team? Rondo is the best player in a Celtics uniform, but the Celtics are built around Pierce, and the way he demands respect from his team. Ri...

This is grim news, that you don't want to wake-up, and see. My Lucky charms taste a little less sweet this morning. Can the Bradley, and Moore show last until then? Will have to find out if Rondo is truly out that long. What does the road ahead look like for the Celtics if he's out until the break.

Well that was clearly quite fantastic. The last 6 out of 8 quarters the Celtics have played have been championship caliber level. PP is finally being the Truth and KG showed he can play the 5 in spot starts here and there. Was this all an accident?
When Ray went down on Sunday, I really had no hope for the following 2 games. I thought that maybe Sundays game being an early one the Celtics would be back that night. They could get nice and rested for the following game verses the new and ...
