The NBA fined Boston Celtics forward/center Chris Wilcox $25,000 for making an obscene gesture directed toward fans during Friday's loss in Philadelphia, NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson announced Sunday.
During a fourth-quarter timeout, Wilcox gave an in-house cameraman broadcasting on the video board the middle finger when a "Kiss Cam" segment ended with a shot of him and teammate Jared Sullinger sitting next to each other on the Celtics' bench.
Never expected to hear that about Wilcox.
The Celtics will return to practice as an entire team Tuesday. The Celtics will gather as a group on Monday for their annual holiday festivities with patients from Children's Hospital and Boston Medical Center.
