I really hate the Bulls, and even more I hate the refs. Did the refs cost the Celtics that game? Not sure at this point, but the Celtics would have won the game if the refs didn't call a jump ball at the end of the 4th with 12 seconds to go. Pierce was sandwiched between Noah, and Jimmy Butler. The refs missed many other calls all night. Rondo fouled out of the game, and that was an injustice.
It's a true shame that the Celtics didn't get the win after Rondo put on a dominate effort tonight. Rondo had 30 points, and he was hitting the jumper with the greatest ease. He was 12-of-21 shooting. The Celtics trailed by 4-6 points for most of the night, until Rondo hit a go ahead free throw in the 4th quarter.
Boozer and Hinrich both missed free throws, and the Celtics had a chance to put the game away with a two-point lead and possession with 12 seconds to go. Instead, Rondo made an inbound pass to Pierce on the sideline. He was immediately trapped, forcing a jump ball situation with Joakim Noah. The Bulls won the tip, hustled the other way and Hinrich hit a chaotic 15-foot jumper after scrapping up a loose ball with two seconds to play. Boston couldn't generate a quality look and settled for an off-balance, Garnett three at the end of the 4th.
Marco Belinelli hit a desperation, 14-foot turnaround jumper with 3.1 seconds to play in overtime as the Celtics fell to the Bulls 100-99, and the Bulls jumped up, and down as if they won the Eastern Conference.
