The Celtics took care of business nicely today, though the first half was a bit of a roller coaster ride, as GeeZee observed. Jermaine had a big game, controlling Marc Gasol, while Rondo kept the clamps on Grizzly point guard Conley, and the defense was generally stout, except for during the third quarter. Wilcox also had a big game, stepping up in place of Bass off the bench, and leading the late first quarter surge - with Rondo's help - that took control of the game. The Cs outrebounded the Grizz all night, and ended up ahead 45-38. The Celtics had 18 turnovers to the Grizzlies 13, five of them by Rondo, but they seemed to be more in sync, as Rondo had 13 assists, and the team had 28. The Grizzlies, by contrast, only had 13. The Celts shot poorly in the first quarter, but had their shooting up to 50% by the end of the game. The only fly in the Celtics ointment tonight may have been giving up 15 offensive rebounds. Pierce had a big game, with 21 points, six assists and six rebounds. Garnett had a bigger game with 24 points and 9 assists. Bradley seems to becoming an expert at juicing the Cs defense in the early fourth quarter.
This was a nice win against an injury-depleted team.

Yeah we do need both but i think for a second game back he was superb at running the offense and i hardly heard anything from conley, but your right hopefulyl in a game or 2 he starts attacking to score btw hes very consistent this year with his rebounding yet again had 5, fantastic play from wilcox again.

Rondo will get better by each game. JO came through nicely, and I'm glad to see kG go off.

If the Celtics keep pace they could compete for top three seed. Does it matter? With this group I don't think so.
